Tennis at the Club

Whether you're picking up a racket for the first time, returning to the game or looking for new people to play with, tennis at Hallamshire offers something for everyone. With 11 indoor and outdoor courts, a thriving coaching programme, social sessions, competitive leagues and team tennis, there are opportunities to get involved all year round.

Our experienced in-house coaches work with players of all ages and abilities, helping you hone your technique, improve your serve, prepare for competition and achieve your goals on court. From beginner sessions and youth development through to performance coaching, box leagues and team tennis, we're here to help you get the most from your tennis.

Our facilities

With seven outdoor courts and four indoor courts, you're not limited to the summer months. Floodlights allow for evening play, while our covered courts keep tennis on the calendar throughout the winter.

We're also proud to offer two fantastic all-weather show courts directly in front of the clubhouse, fully resurfaced in Spring 2026. As the focal point of many Club competitions and external events, they provide an outstanding setting for both players and spectators.
